This was about leaving home to go to war, and find a new adventure. There was a great flood that day, looking down it felt like an escape. I couldn’t wait to escape back. All the marching and conformity made me nauseous each and every day for four years. A creative dead zone and purgatory. It is a necessary hell unfortunately, and there is glory to be had. But not without costs.
